I have posted a demonstration video of how to do a good morning to the right. Do this with no weight and with your hands clasped behind your neck (elbows out). Do the push ups from toes if possible, or from the knees, counter top or wall.

I like this workout! Really fast paced. I did first few pushups from toes, rest from knees. My video of the good mornings didn't work - it wasn't in the center of the screen, so I only saw his elbow and part of his body. I think I figured out what he was doing. This really got my heart going, plus good sit-ups. My two areas!!

I'm out of breath-but it was nice, fast way to get quite a lot of work in.
I'm a goofball and didn't keep my time. I'll do it again this afternoon and check time. It will do me good!
ReplyDeleteThat was great - quick. I could feel my squats hurting after not doing them yesterday. I would like to have a better timer system, so a may do it again with Greg hear or someone to watch the clock for me so I can really concentrate on just the work out not the second hand.

ReplyDeleteOK, I was slow, but I did well! :) And, this was the first time I didn't use my arms/hands to help pull myself up on the sit-ups, that's an improvement!

The push ups are really tough for me . . . no upper body strength! The first set of push ups were done on my knees and second set was counter high.

Was in Tulsa yesterday, so did my 13 workout today and forgot to time. Will do again later today. I am also having trouble with push ups and my hip flexors are very sore. Tried to do lunges inside and will have to find a better option.

ReplyDeleteThe 13X13 workout is perfect to do on the road. David and I did it together in Key Largo. It was a new baseline for me - first time to do a workout with push ups from the toes (after 11 months!) I can't do 13 real push ups without stopping yet. I'm glad Laura is including push ups in our warm up - should get stronger on these faster. My time: 5:42
